MODAK DAIRY DAY TO FEATURE FARM TOURS AND CHILDREN’S ACTIVITIES
Moes family opens doors to community
GOODWIN, SD – The Moes family is celebrating June Dairy Month by hosting an open house on their farm, MoDak Dairy near Kranzburg, on Saturday, June 20 from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. The free, family-friendly event will provide guests with an opportunity to see first-hand where the dairy products they enjoy get their start. South Dakota Farm Families is hosting the event along with the Moes family.
Visitors can participate in guided tours of the dairy and learn more about dairy farming and how about how milk gets from the farm to the store. In addition to tours, visitors to the farm will have the opportunity to eat a free grilled cheese sandwich and ice cream. Children will get the chance to milk “Bessie the Cow”, and express their creative side by completing dairy themed coloring books.
