Core Content Standard & Question 4.OA.3 Solve multi-step word problems posed with whole numbers and having whole-number answers using the four operations, including problems in which remainders must be interpreted. Represent these problems using equations with a letter standing for the unknown quantity. Assess the reasonableness of answers using mental computation and estimation strategies including rounding.

• Adam said he cools the corn after drying from 150 degrees to the outside temperature. If it is 62 degrees outside, how many degrees will the corn have to cool?  If it takes 3 days to cool the corn, how many degrees will the corn cool each day?
