Riley shares how the dairy cows eat foods that we can’t eat and turn them into protein, while also creating fertilizer (manure) for crops.
Dairy farms can build a methane digester to capture the gasses produced by manure and turn them into energy. Here is a video from Michigan State that explains the process. Boadwine Dairy is constructing a methane digester that will start running in 2022.
