Discussion Questions: Phil told us that his family farm, Southview Farms, was started in 1907. How long has his farm been in the same family? Can you think of other business that you know of that are 100 years old or more? (Answers: Johnson & Johnson, Coke, United Parcel Service (UPS) was started the same year as Southview Farms!)
Phil also explained how he named his cattle. What would your number be if you were a cow on Phil’s farm? Use classmates to decide who was born first the same year you were.
Ex: Birthday, June 12 2007. I have 5 friends that were also born in 2007 that are older than me. That means my number would be 706.
