Mom's Day Out on the Farm
Ag United gave South Dakota Moms an opportunity to experience where their food is produced and to observe how farm families care for their animals and the land.
Forty South Dakota Moms were chosen to participate in the First Annual Mom's Day Out on the Farm on July 13, 2010. They toured beef, pork, dairy and corn and soybean farms in Minnehaha County.
Every participant chosen received $50 in either beef, pork or ethanol certificates good at any grocery store or restaurant, as well as other gifts. Sioux Falls resident, Lisa Ludeen, was the lucky winner of $500 in groceries!
