Mom's Day Out on the Farm

Ever wonder where your food comes from?  A Day Out on the Farm is your chance to tour a real farm and find out firsthand.  Don't miss these exciting tours.

South Dakota Farm Families invites you to participate in our 4th Annual "Day Out on the Farm" tours. 

Each participant of all farm tours will receive $50 in Fairway grocey gift cards as well as other goodies.  We also host a give-away for $125 in grocery gift cards for each tour as well. 

Summer 2013

June 20 - Moms' Day Out on the Farm
Moms, this is your chance to spend the day on area beef, dairy and hog farms.  Meet other moms and connect with farmers.  Complimentary lunch provided.  To register for this event click here. 

July 11 - Farms After Five
Perfect for working adults, this shortened tour kicks off after business hours.  Complimentary lunch provided.  To register for this event click here. 

July 15 - Food and Fitness Professionals Day Out on the Farm
Opportunity for food and fitness professionals to tour area beef, dairy, hog and egg farms.  Complimentary lunch provided.  To register for this event click here. 

July 18 - Know Your Milk Tour
In partnership with the Western Iowa Dairy Alliance, moms will discover how milk gets from the cows to their refrigerator.  This tour includes two dairy farms (South Dakota and Iowa) and a dairy plant visit.  This tour will be based out of the Dakota Dunes/Sioux City Iowa area.  Complimentary lunch provided.   To register for this event click here.
